Life is not a series of #perfect moments.
In fact... it's made up of messy, sometimes cringeworthy moments.
But you cannot let those moments derail you or define you.
You have got to give yourself grace.
When you give yourself the #grace you are giving yourself #permission to make #mistakes. You are giving yourself the permission to carry on with your #goals even though there have been bumps in the road. You are forgiving yourself for not having a perfect day, moment, or experience.
You are giving yourself permission to be human.
There have been so many times in my #coaching, and #HR career, that I have seen high-level #executives, and #top #performers beat themselves up over a misstep, that they are missing out on the beauty of the moment. You may say... what beauty? I've failed! I didn't (get the job/win the race/hit my goal.)
But did you see... all your #mentors cheering you on?
Did you see the crowd supporting and cheering for you in the stands?
Did you see everything you learned along the way?
Chances are, you were so focused on one certain result, that you didn't realize that every moment you were making strides and actually accomplishing something!
Give yourself grace in the moments you aren't hitting 100%. And take stock of the people and things around you. Remember that you are human, and you will make mistakes. You will fail. You will fall.
But above all... give yourself grace - and give yourself the chance to fly.
